With 95 years of experience in braking, Bosch is a major player in the automotive aftermarket and offer the entire braking system, from the pedal to the wheel!
As a major partner in the automotive industry, Bosch has never stopped innovating to ensure everyday safety, with inventions that are now found in all our vehicles: anti-lock braking systems (ABS), electronic stability control (ESP), and many others. Bosch has years of experience and expertise in the development and manufacture of braking parts.
Brake pads: design and operation
Bosch brake pads are composed by more than 5 layers, all of equivalent quality to the original:
1.Lining (Friction material) adapted to each vehicle and its needs
2.Intermediate layer improving safety and comfort of use
3.Adhesive layer ensuring the fixation between the pad holder and the lining
4. Anti-vibration materials to improve comfort of use
5. Pad holder integrates perfectly with the rest of the braking system
When should I change my brake pads?
Bosch recommends replacing the brake pads at least every 40,000 km.
Maintenance Tips:
-Always replace your pads in pairs (left and right side).
-Always replace your brake pads at every disc change.
-Before assembly, lubricate the brake pad ears with Bosch Superfit brake grease.
-Do not lubricate the brake pads except at the pad ears.
-Do not use any lubricant containing copper.
-When replacing the brake pads, always replace the accessory parts (springs, clips, etc.).
Be sure to follow the vehicle manufacturer’s recommendations and demand Bosch quality!
1. Safety without compromiseBrake pads are one of the most important wear parts in the braking system and are at the heart of active vehicle safety. That’s why all Bosch brake pads are analysed and tested in both the laboratory and in real-life conditions, on the racetrack. Bosch braking is safety without compromise! |
2. Quality products at the original standardAs a supplier to the automotive manufacturing industry, Bosch provides the aftermarket with original equipment quality parts. Bosch brake pads are made from high quality materials and according to strict procedures for all internal combustion, electric and hybrid vehicles. |
